Default Siege in Shing jea Monastery

Rujiyo is talking about it... has been for about 20 minutes but now a warning has been sent to get all warriors to Shing Jea Monastery... and this time, there is no quest to accept.

Thoughts?

Bugged, like the last emperor's visit =-S.

Makes me wonder if the devs ever test these things before just throwing it at the public. The bugs/glitches that have occured throught the entire event are not exactly rare ones, they're all frequent, and repetable.

The "finale," according to Gaile, is supposed to be very different.

It's supposed to be in exactly 45 minutes. But ArenaNet has been wrong on timing before.

I'll be in Int 2 in the meantime.

Well, the Fury has made another appearance at the Monastery. Head over to the henchies to see him.

He was the one leading the grasp's when they all attacked every time the Emperor left the frnot door open.

Guess this means that in 40 minutes, we're going to get our asses handed to us by Grasps.

according to the captain's last message, he was worried about the attack taking place while the emperor was there. my guess is that the emperor was actually supposed to stay behind after the very last visit (the one that passed) and is supposed to be htere for this finale (hence the captain's text about protecting him). somewhere it appears that the script bugged out and in some districts not only did he not leave early (ended up in piling up several of him), but the game didn't trigger and/or end and left the Fury and grasps there. look at the bright side.. we've still go our pets :-)

7 GMT isn't for another 35 mins. I assume something will happen at that time.

Bugs apart, I think there is some confusion as to when 7.00 GMT is, It's not current UK time as we are on BST at the moment which is one hour ahead of GMT so as I type this the event is still 30+ minutes away.

Monring.

I'm at work again at the moment, sadly so I'm going to miss the true end of the event.

Anything that happens make sure to report here on the forums so I can add anything I'm missing to the guide

did this actually happen? or is this just about the mini-game?
Also, there wasn't a final event like a big thing was there!?!?!? only more of the same... and why did we miss an event where no one got presents??!

Yeah, this event got bugged really, really badly. After the first occurrence or three, the whole thing went to hell. Whatever caused him to end the festivitis (with a message) and leave, did not trigger, thus he stayed there. And it is obvious the same broken trigger has affected everything else. Some one botched a simple piece of code, I can say that because only a simple piece of code botching can do something like this. Though I suppose everyone was out on holiday and it was unfixable, so that I can't fault them for, or for the code really.

And a broken set of triggers could have easily prevented a grand finale from occurring.
